treatment

During the evaluation, goals and a plan of care will be created. These goals will target the patient’s area(s) of weakness, one step at a time. The therapist will help the child achieve these goals by using a variety of research-based methods and strategies.

Depending on the therapist’s recommendation, treatment will be provided every-other-week, weekly, or as often as the therapist sees fit. After each treatment session, caregivers will be given instructions on the child’s performance, as well as different tasks to try at home. Before a child can be seen for treatment, several things are needed including, an IEP/IFSP (if applicable), the doctor’s signature on the evaluation, and insurance authorization (if applicable).
